What is OptiComm internet?
OptiComm is a private fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network, often available in new housing estates and apartment complexes as an alternative to NBN.
Is OptiComm faster than NBN?
OptiComm generally offers the same speed tiers as NBN (25, 50, 100 Mbps and higher), but since it’s fibre-to-the-premises, speeds are often more consistent.
Can I use my NBN modem with OptiComm?
Some NBN-ready modems may work, but we recommend using an OptiComm-compatible modem to ensure the best performance.
How do I check if my home has OptiComm?
You can check coverage on the OptiComm website or contact our team. If your property is in an OptiComm estate, we can connect you quickly.
How long does it take to get connected to OptiComm?
If your property is already wired for OptiComm, connections can usually be activated within 30mins to 1 hour. If your address requires a new connection, typically needs 1 – 5 business days to have your ONT installed.
